HOW TO MAKE PLANS AND TAKE ACTION
So many of us do not make plans for our lives. We will plan out holidays, birthdays, weddings and meals out, but we don't think to take out some time to plan out our futures. We think that we don't have a say or any control of them.
I hear you, what the heckety heck are SMART goals? Or perhaps you know exactly what they are and they fill you with dread - you have come here to change your life, not feel like you're at work!

I get it and whilst I would LOVE to sit here and tell you that in order to switch your life up and get what you want all you have to do is sit and meditate for 10 minutes a day whilst visualising your dream life, the truth is, that whilst I am a believer in manifestation, it isn't a genie with a magic lamp.

Some people will disagree with this, but I would say if you sat at home all day visualising, versus someone who does that but also takes action, who do you think would come up trumps?

I know where my money is at. Action is the gateway to our success. And we need to be clear on the actions we need to take to get the outcomes we so desire.

So I have created this action planner. It breaks each step down for you so that you can get laser-focused now on what it is you want and how you are going to get it.

Let's take action
Think of one area of your life that you need to change but be specific.

For example, you may want to lose weight, but how much weight?

Perhaps you are not sure of the exact amount, but you know that you want to get back in to your size 12 jeans?

Next, how will you measure your progress? Will it be you try your jeans on each week, will it be staying off of sweet treats?

Next, look at what actions you can take to help you achieve this goals? Remember, a goal is only achievable if there are actions you can take.

Is your SMART goals realistic? This means, is it achievable? Can it be done?

And finally, set yourself a deadline. When do you want to have achieved your goal? If goals are time based, they help give us momentum and something to work towards

Let's take action
Now that you know your SMART goal, it is time to action - for it is in the doing that we get the results we so desire.
Use this example sheet to help you understand the process and then use the blank sheet to plan out your own. If you get stuck that is good feedback for me and so you can email me contact@laylaallen.co.uk and I will see what I can do to help. If you are not feeling all that motivated right now, then you need to read this blog post: F*** motivation
